DirectSync2.2 เป็น plugin ทั้งใน Joomla1.5 และ phpBB3 โดยไม่ได้เป็น mod หรือ hack file เหมือนเวอร์ชั่นก่อน จึงติดตั้งง่าย
และใช้งานสะดวกขึ้น และการทำงานอาศัย external bridge files แยกต่างหาก จึงไม่มีปัญหาในการ update เวอร์ชั้น
ของ phpBBและ Joomla

ทั้งนี้เนื่องจากการติดตั้ง plugin ใน phpBB3 ยังไม่สามารถทำได้โดยตรงผ่าน ACP จำเป็นต้อง copy ไฟล์ไปวางเอาเอง
ดังนั้น DirectSync2.2 ในส่วน webinstaller จะจัดการติดตั้ง plugin และ bridge files ให้กับ phpBB3 และปรับ config
ให้อัติโนมัติ

ก่อนติดตั้ง ต้องแน่ใจว่าคุณ uninstall plugin ของ DirectSync เวอร์ชั่นก่อนและ uninstall ด้วย web installer ด้วยเวอร์ชั่นก่อน
(เฉพาะก่อน 2.2 )แล้ว เช่น ลง DirectSync2.0 ไว้ ก็ต้อง uninstall ด้วย DirectSync 2.0 ที่คุณได้ลงไว้และเป็นไฟล์ชุดเดิม
เพราะไฟล์ที่แบ็กอัพไว้มันอยู่ในนั้นครับ ถ้าคุณใช้ DirectSync ชุดใหม่จะเป็นเวอร์ชั่นเดิมหรือต่างไปก็ตาม แต่มันไม่มีไฟล์
แบ็กอัพเก็บอยู่ ดังนั้นถึง uninstall ได้แต่มันก็ไม่ได้เอาไฟล์เดิมคืนกลับให้คุณ และถ้าคุณไปอัพเดทเวอร์ชั่นของ Joomla ก่อน
uninstall DirectSync อาจให้ผลลัพธ์ที่ผิดพลาดในการ uninstall

ขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง

1. เรียกไฟล์ install.php เพื่อเข้าสู่หน้าเว็บติดตั้ง phpBB3 plugin และ bridge files

2. ทำตามขั้นตอนใน web installer โดยให้ระบุพาทเต็มที่ติดตั้ง phpBB3 และ Joomla โดยในเวอร์ชั่น 2.2 พาทของ phpBB3 จะอยู่
ที่ไหนก็ได้ ไม่จำเป็นต้องอยู่ภายใต้ joomla (พาทในเครื่อง server เช่น C:/xxxx ไม่ใช่ web address ที่เป็น http://www นะครับ) และขอให้ใช้ slash (/) แทน backslash (\) ด้วยนะครับ เพราะพบว่ามี bug ใน php ในบางคำสั่ง

3. ติดตั้ง plugin 2 ตัวคือ DirectSync2.2_auth_plugin.zip และ DirectSync2.2_user_plugin.zip ใน Joomla

4. ที่หน้าแอดมินของ Joomla ไปที่เมนู Extensions ---> Plugin manager และเลือก Authentication - DirectSync plugin
เพื่อแก้ไขพารามิเตอร์

5. ใส่ค่าพารามิเตอร์ในช่อง phpBB root path เป็น พาทเต็มของ phpBB3 เหมือนที่กำหนดตอนติดตั้งใน web installer

6. ให้ Enable Authentication - DirectSync plugin และ disable Authentication - Joomla

7. แก้ไขพารามิเตอร์ phpBB root path ของ User - DirectSync และ enable User - DirectSync เพื่อเปิดใช้.

ถ้าในกรณีถอนการติดตั้ง Joomla plugin ให้เปิดใช้ Authentication - Joomla เหมือนเดิม (กรณีที่ plugin นี้เปิดใช้อยู่ก่อนแล้ว)

For Joomla1.5.x and phpBB3.0.x bridge on authentication/login/register systems.

Now DirectSync2.2 has totally changed from old version which none of hack or mod files and support phpBB3 which install anywhere not only inside Joomla folder .

How to install

1. Install phpBB3 plugin and bridge files with web installer by call install.php.

2. Follow the instruction on installation page by specify full path of Joomla and phpBB web root folder.

3. Install DirectSync2.2_auth_plugin.zip and DirectSync2.2_user_plugin.zip in Joomla ACP.

4. At Joomla goto menu Extensions ---> Plugin manager and edit parameters of Authentication - DirectSync plugin.

5. Configures the phpBB root path in plugin parameter.

The phpBB root path should be inside Joomla install folder and must be full path.

6. Enable Authentication - DirectSync plugin and disable Authentication - Joomla.

7. Edit phpBB root path plugin parameter of User - DirectSync and enable it.

You need to disable plugin Authentication - Joomla when install and set it back when uninstall.
